Welcome to Arafura Blue. This charming waterfront property in Nightcliff transforms an original 70s home into a coastal oasis, perfectly positioned to walk everywhere along the foreshore. Sample the cafes at the Nightcliff market precinct, head to the jetty for some storm watching, or hit Dom's Bar & Lounge for $1 dumplings and Jenga night. Nestled on a lovely tree-lined street, it boasts impressive indoor and outdoor living spaces, including alfresco dining, a BBQ and sparkling pool.
Positioned directly on the coastline, Arafura Blue provides an impressive family-friendly retreat. Its spacious and light-filled interiors are purposely designed to cater to large groups. The living area features ample sofa seating, comfortable armchairs and a TV, perfect for movie nights at home. The property offers free Wi-Fi throughout and air-conditioning to keep you cool during Darwin’s warmer weather.
There is a large wooden dining table inside along with an alfresco setting on the deck. Enjoy a family meal at home thanks to the fully equipped kitchen or cook up a storm on the BBQ. The kitchen is fitted with premium appliances and all the cooking essentials you'll need, plus a spacious island—ideal for those working remotely to set up their laptop.
This expansive home comfortably sleeps 13 guests. There are five bedrooms, with four queen-sized beds and five single beds. Each is topped with hotel-quality linens for a good night’s sleep and there is wardrobe space for storing your belongings. The two long single beds in the fifth bedroom can also be combined to make a king upon request.
Two full bathrooms are well-presented and come with complimentary toiletries to use during your stay. Enjoy the convenience of internal laundry facilities for longer stays, including a washing machine and clothes rack. The laundry is located downstairs underneath the main house to the rear of the property.
After a busy day exploring the city, cool off in the outdoor swimming pool. It is set among a lush, peaceful garden with lounge chairs to soak up the sun. The property comes with free parking on premise as well as free street parking outside the house. We provide cots, high chairs and extra children's beds for an extra fee upon request three days before you arrive.
Please be aware that there are stairs within the property. Be sure to use caution when navigating them.
During your stay, you and your group will have the entire home to yourself. Please make yourself at home!
Please note, there is a small, completely separate flat under the house. We sometimes have a caretaker staying there. They are very discreet and do not disturb you during your stay.
The waterfront suburb of Nightcliff is located 15 minutes’ drive north of Darwin’s city centre. Locals flock to the Nightcliff foreshore for its walking and cycling trail and iconic Nightcliff Pool. Nightcliff Jetty is a popular spot to watch the sun set and food trucks are often parked in the area for a picnic meal. The Sunday Nightcliff Markets showcase a great range of arts and crafts along with food and local entertainment, while famous Mindil Beach Sunset Market offers Aboriginal art, fashion and a melting pot of delicious cuisines. From Nightcliff you’re just a short drive to all that Darwin has to offer.
Due to local regulations, we can happily host you for up to 90 nights. Any bookings that exceed this duration will be cancelled by Vrbo.
Arafura Blue is situated in a quiet residential area. The house is for accommodation only and is not suitable for parties, gatherings or functions of any kind. Guests should not create noise that could disturb our neighbours at any time during their stay. There is to be no more than 2 visitors to the house without our prior written consent.
Please note, there is a small, completely separate flat under the house. We sometimes have a caretaker staying there. They are very discreet and do not disturb you during your stay.
For stays over 14 nights, please note the additional mandatory fees:
- Cleaning Bond: $500 to cover deep cleaning after your stay.
- Mid-Stay Cleaning: Provided every 2 weeks at $325 per cleaning.
Both fees must be paid in advance at least 14 days before check-in to avoid booking cancellation. Thank you.
