Sea Change @ Brighton

Our holiday home "Sea Change" is literally steps from the smooth sands and safe swimming at Brighton Beach. It really is a top location, quiet in the house but so close to the heart of Brighton. Jetty Road shops and cafes, The Esplanade Hotel, jetty, Cinema, train station and supermarkets are all close at hand. The boat ramp and Seacliff Yacht Club are a few minutes drive away.We are close enough to the city for an easy commute if still at work while the rest of the family is on holiday. Off road car parking is available for 2 cars, or a car and a boat in a secure garage on site.

One or two couples, or a family with older children can relax in style in our fully self-contained home. Sea Change is a maisonette built in the 1930s by two brothers who lived next door to each other in harmony for many years. Because we share a wall with our neighbour, and wish to maintain this harmony, we cater primarily for adults but will accept a family with well behaved teenagers or children over school age.(4 years plus.)

Adelaide International and Domestic Airport is approximately 25 mins drive away. If arriving from interstate, please let us know if you require early check in or late checkout, or bag storage as arrangements can be made if other bookings permit.

Sea Change is set up with 2 Queen size bedrooms and a third bedroom with 2 single beds. Quality mattresses and linen (and electric blankets in winter) will ensure you have a restful sleep, and some nights you can even hear the waves. Bedrooms are also provided with ceiling fans and ceramic heaters.

The living area is open plan with large LCD TV, comfy leather lounges and a variety of DVDs, games and books to entertain you away from the beach. There is reverse cycle heating & cooling, a ceiling fan, and screened French doors for comfort. The kitchen has a dishwasher and everything you need for cooking and meals, but you are also really spoilt for choice with all the local eateries and takeaways. Our light and airy living area opens to a private vine covered outdoor area with BBQ.

The large two way bathroom has a full sized bath as well as a separate shower, and there is also an outdoor shower for rinsing sandy feet after a swim. We also provide you with a fully equipped laundry with dryer for rainy days. Sea Change is a peaceful place to stay, not a party house, but a place to de-stress, notice the ever changing sea and sky and get a bit of sun and salt on your skin. You can also relax on the front porch overlooking our coastal garden before strolling down to swim, watch the sunset, or have a coffee or meal at the choice of cafes and restaurants in easy walking distance.The pace picks up a bit on weekends as our beach is popular both summer and winter with locals and visitors.

Sea Change also makes a great base for beach weddings, National swimming titles at the SA Aquatic Centre , major Surf Carnivals (Brighton & Seacliff clubs) and sailing regattas out of Seacliff. Adelaide city centre is approximately 30 mins. drive or train or bus ride away and hosts many events during the year including the Cabaret Festival, The Fringe, SALA art exhibitions, Exhibitions at the Art Gallery of SA, Tour Down Under, The Clipsal 500, and the Adelaide Royal Show to name a few. Join the locals for...
New Years Eve family fireworks on the beach at 9.30pm, or visit Glenelg for midnight fireworks and entertainment.
Brighton Jetty Swim hosted by Brighton Life Saving Club each early February with competitors swimming long distance. This is also combined with the Sculpture Exhibition with many artists exhibiting along the foreshore and Bindarra Reserve from the week before the Australia Day long weekend.

Excursions to the Adelaide Hills, Belair National Park,Cleland and Warrawong wildlife sanctuaries, Mt Lofty and Hahndorf. Drive a little further afield to Monarto open plains Zoo or day trips to the Riverland or Coorong.
Drives to Barossa Valley ( (90 mins North), Clare Valley (2 hours North) and McLaren Vale (40mins South) wineries, cellar doors and weekend markets.
Drive down the South Coast to surf beaches and Victor Harbour.
Glenelg is 5 mins drive or a 40min walk along the beach to seaside shopping.You can also catch a tram to the city.
Westfield Shopping centre (5 mins drive) is one of the largest shopping complexes in the South. It also houses a cinema complex, 10 pin bowling alley and eateries.
Swimming, Walking on the beach, Watching sunsets, Beach cricket, Sandcastles, and Fishing on the jetty anytime.
Coastal bike path and walking track follows the esplanade. Local tennis courts 5 min walk away.

A reminder that we cater for children over the age of 4 years only.
We are asthma and allergy aware, so for everyone's pets, and smoking outside only.

Any visitors must be declared prior to occupancy as amenities are for guests only unless arrangements are made with the owner.

We require an $800 security bond in advance of occupancy when bookings are confirmed.
