Their trip to Denmark inspired them to create a hygge (Danish for “cosiness”) place in the Australian paradise, where you can disconnect from the busyness of the city life and connect with each other.
Scandi retreat is designed with love: open uncluttered spaces with hand-picked furniture and accessories from all around Australia and Europe in natural colours, wood and metal and have made every element in this home comfortable and enjoyable.

We hope you feel at home and play some board games, read the books, try out some new recipes with local produce on our well-equipped kitchen or a BBQ with its own outdoor kitchenette.

The back yard has a variety of native plants and two lemon trees. If in season, feel free to pick some fruit – they make great madeleines (French biscuits), zesty lemonade or a refreshing lemon breeze cocktail.
 
Relax on the sun lounge deck chairs sipping cocktails or dip into the spacious pool with a waterfall and spa jets if you don’t feel like swimming in the ocean. We hope that you’ll love Scandi retreat as much as we do.

Scandi retreat is located in the world famous Australian paradise suburb of Palm Cove, within a short 15-minute stroll to the beach, where you will find some of the best dining experiences that Cairns has to offer including the famous Nu Nu restaurant.
Conveniently, it’s also only 15-minute walk away from Clifton Beach Shopping Centre and Coles supermarket. For the families with kids, there’s a cosy Gibson reserve playground just 5 minutes away.
