As the name describes, our home is "The Lakeside Oasis". A newly built home overlooking the stunning Lake at Murrays Beach, this is the definition of relaxing, unwinding and resetting.
Our home has been beautifully furnished and curated with art pieces from all over the world. The owners of the home have gone to every effort to make sure every corner brings peace and tranquillity.
Our home is the perfect place to wake up to the beautiful pristine lake views, enjoy a day of kayaking, complete with the perfect backyard and outdoor space to enjoy a BBQ with loved ones as the sunsets. The Lake House is everything you could possibly want to unwind and reset from the hustle and bustle of city life!
HOUSE RULES
* Check-in: After 3:00 pm
* Checkout: 10:00 am
* No smoking
* No pets allowed
* No parties or events
ADDITIONAL RULES
* Please see the house rules. As per the Short Term Legislation Act 2020 NSW, all guests are required to obey these rules. For extra guests/day visitors, we must be informed for liability purposes.
* This is a no-party property. We do not allow parties of any sort. The maximum amount of guests staying in this property is 10, however, we do allow day visitors up to a maximum of 14 people, including the guests who have booked.
* Credit card details must be provided when booking. There could be a $1,000 fine for any breach of rules.
* This house is a strictly no-smoking property. If any of our cleaners find any form of cigarette ash, butts or smell cigarettes inside and around the house, we could issue a $500 fine.
* This is a domestic residence and we have strict noise rules at this home. We love and respect our neighbours and do not wish to receive any complaints. We ask that you keep the noise to a minimum after 10pm.
* This property is approved for accommodation only. The guest limits apply at all times during the booking. Any extra guests (including day visitors) above those booked and paid for must be approved in writing before the stay.
* Only the guests staying at the property are permitted to be present. If you wish to have visitors in addition to booked guests, you must advise us in writing prior to your stay and ensure you receive written permission.
* We ask that if the BBQ is used, it has to be wiped down otherwise there may be a surcharge of $50. We have supplied all the items you need to wipe this down in the kitchen.
* STRA Rules - Guests will be required to send their ID’s, email addresses, full names and contact number(s).
* Check-out - We cannot stress enough the importance of checking out on time. Our regular check-in time is after 3 pm and check-out time is prior to 10 am. If you wish to have an earlier check-in than 3 pm and we are able to accommodate your request, there may be an additional charge. If you wish to check out later than 10 am, there may also be an additional charge.
THINGS TO KNOW
* This property is suitable for babies or children. Items such as cots and high-chairs we do not supply, however, you are welcome to bring these yourself to the property.
* Checkin details will be sent either the night before checking in, or the morning of check-in for security reasons.
* The King Bedroom upstairs has the option to be converted into two single beds. When booking, can you please let us know which configuration you are after (one king, or two single beds) so we can let our housekeepers know which is best for you and your family's needs!
There are 2 kayaks and life jackets for guests to use, providing fun for all the family. These are kept in the garage and are displayed in our first photo!

Located on beautiful Lake Macquarie, The Lake House is an easy 90 min drive from Sydney and just 30 min drive from Newcastle. There are many local attractions and amenities for you to enjoy such as:
- 5 min drive to Swansea which has restaurants, cafes and supermarkets
- 5 min drive to Caves Beach which is perfect for a day of swimming and exploring
- 10 min drive to Catherine Hill Bay beaches
- Bush trails for walks and bike-rides which are great for exploring the local area
- 20 min drive to Charlestown Square Shopping Centre
- 5 min walk from the house is a local cafe that you can enjoy breakfast and lunch daily as well as dinner Friday and Saturday
The local community pool is also available for guests to use which is just a 3 minute walk from the home! There are rules and guidelines at the community pool that we ask all guests to follow when visiting.
Access is via the lockbox, our team will send you the lockbox code at 7am on the morning of check-in!
